Newborns weigh 100 lbs.
Gestation is 15 months.
Tusks can grow up to 3 feet,
and are used to break thru ice and for defense.
Walrus are slow moving, but can swim from 5 to 22 mph.
Whiskers are used to detect shell fish.
A Walrus can eat 4,00 clams at one feeding.
